1. What Data We Collect

Boomnexa operates without requiring registration. We collect minimal data:

• Gameplay stats: High scores, game sessions (stored locally on your device)

• Chat messages: Your nickname and messages in live chat

• Payment info: Processed via Stripe (we never store card data)

• Device info: Browser type, OS, screen size (for analytics)

2. Data Storage

Most of your data is stored only on your device using browser local storage. Chat and game stats may be stored on our servers temporarily (up to 30 days) for leaderboards and moderation purposes.

3. GDPR & Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access any data we hold about you

• Request deletion (we'll remove chat history and game stats)

• Opt out of analytics tracking

4. Payment Processing

All purchases (Starter Pack €1.99, Supporter Pack $2.99, Legendary Tier $4.99) are processed via Stripe on web/PWA, or via Apple In-App Purchase on iOS/iPadOS. We do not store or see your card or payment information. Apple handles all iOS payment data under their privacy policy.

5. Advertising, Cookies & Choices

We use essential local storage for gameplay preferences. Where you choose to accept advertising, we may load Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide and measure advertising. You can decline advertising in our consent notice; essential gameplay storage will still work. 6. Children's Privacy

Boomnexa is family-friendly. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before playing or making purchases.

7. Austrian Law & Jurisdiction

This privacy policy is governed by Austrian law (ABGB). Any disputes are resolved in Vienna courts. Boomnexa is operated by Boomnexa, based in Austria.

Live, Then Gone — Real-Time Activity

Any live activity you see in the arcade — moving cursors, who's online, real-time multiplayer presence and per-session play activity — is shown in real time only and is never permanently stored. This ephemeral presence data is deleted automatically within seconds of you leaving, leaving no retained trail. We follow strict data-minimisation: we keep only what we are legally required or permitted to keep, namely:

• Payment records — retained as required by tax and accounting law.

• Leaderboard scores you chose to submit — consented, publicly displayed data.

• Anti-cheat & fraud flags — retained under our legitimate interest to keep play fair and secure.

Everything else about your live session is purged automatically and continuously.

Your Digital Footprint: Lumina & Aether-Flow

We believe your focus should be on the game, not the tracking. We collect only what is necessary to run the physics engines and sync your leaderboard scores.

• Artistic Privacy: Your unique creations—whether a "Star Map" in Lumina or a "Watercolor Landscape" in Aether-Flow—are yours. We do not sell, trade, or analyze your artistic outputs for external marketing.

• Data Minimization: Game metrics (clicks, swipes, physics interactions) are logged only to improve engine performance. We do not build advertising profiles or sell this data to third parties.

• No Ad-Tracking: Unlike most web arcades, we do not use intrusive third-party trackers (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) to build your "advertising profile." Our analytics are first-party only.

• Leaderboard Transparency: Only publicly visible data (your display name and high score) appears on leaderboards. All other gameplay data remains private to your account.

Third-Party Communities (Discord)

We provide a public link to our official Discord community server. Clicking this link takes you to discord.com, which is operated by Discord Inc. and governed by Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We do not share any personal data with Discord; the link is purely an outbound invitation. Joining our Discord server is entirely optional. Discord requires users to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country).

Anonymous Chat, Age Requirement & Reporting

Our global chat and in-match arena chat are public and anonymous — you may interact with strangers. These features are restricted to adults (18+) and must be confirmed before you can use them. The arcade is not directed to children, and anonymous chat is never offered to child audiences.

• Filtering: messages are checked against a moderated banned-word list before they are sent.

• Reporting: each message can be reported (harassment, sexual content, child-safety concerns, spam, hate speech) for moderator review.

• Muting: you can mute any player instantly on your device.

• Data: chat carries a self-chosen display name only — never your real identity. Do not share personal details in chat.

Reports are stored for moderation and safety enforcement and are visible only to our moderators.

AI Features & Third-Party AI Processing

Some features (safety filtering, generated game themes, support replies and internal analytics summaries) use AI models operated by third-party providers on our behalf. What this means for you:

• Limited use: data sent to AI providers is used only to deliver the requested feature — never to build advertising profiles or to sell data.

• Minimisation: we send the minimum needed (e.g. a chat message for filtering, aggregated statistics for reports) and no payment details.

• No training on your data: we do not authorise providers to train their models on your data.

• Human oversight: AI never makes final decisions on payments; safety removals can be reviewed by a human moderator.

Location Data (Approximate Only)

We collect approximate location only — country, region and city derived from your IP address — to show regional pricing, currency and localised content. We never request or collect precise location (GPS) and the app does not use device location permissions.
