Puzzle method
Lumina Umbra: Use Light and Shadow as Two Parts of One Route
Lumina Umbra asks you to consider two connected spaces at once. Instead of treating light and shadow as competing sides, use them as a shared route. A change that helps one spirit should also preserve a useful future for the other.
Map both states first
Before moving, identify the safe spaces available to each spirit and the points where a beam or shadow can change the route. A quick map prevents you from solving the immediate obstacle while closing the only remaining path for the other character.
Change one relationship
Light puzzles are easier to understand when each adjustment has one purpose. Rotate or reposition a single element, observe what becomes reachable, then decide on the next change. This makes the relationship between cause and effect visible instead of turning the board into trial and error.
Keep a return path
A new illuminated space is only useful if the next state still offers a route forward. After each success, pause to ask how both spirits will leave the area. This small check keeps the puzzle cooperative and avoids fragile one-way solutions.
